Personal
Mr. Tran fled from Vietnam at the age of 18 with his younger sister in a small wooden boat and traveled across the Pacific Ocean to find freedom and to avoid religious and political persecution. He immigrated to the United States in 1980 and in 1985 he became a proud American citizen. Mr. Tran has been married to his wife, Thuy, since 1994. They have three children: Victoria (22) graduated from the University of Washington, Andrew (20) is a senior, and Jonathan (17) is a sophomore at the University of Washington.
